Dvla mistake on logbook, can anyone help?
Discussion
I've got an issue with my logbook, which I've only just found. The car is a Seat Leon, but according to the dvla, my VIN belongs to a Skoda Yeti????????
The car was exported from the UK new 11 months ago, and I need to UK register it again to bring it back and trade it in, but when I give the VIN to dealers to get a trade in valuation it comes back as a different make/model
Can anyone on here help by putting it through their computer at work and tell me what it pops up as?
The VIN starts VSSZZZ which should be Seat specific so appearing as a Skoda makes it even stranger??????
Cheers

I've called DVLA but they say they cannot access engine or VIN numbers as they are not security cleared
I've called Seat UK who tell me that on their system all the details match
There has been a disconnect somewhere in the registration process, which I think must have been at the DVLA end, but DVLA won't confirm what info they hold against my VIN?

Vin Reg look up that I use checks Cap and DVLA and it shows as a Skoda as you thought.
Send the V5 back to DVLA with a letter and they will investigate it and resolve.
I had it last year on my 911 and it just said Porsche in the logbook and nothing else. It was easily sorted.
Good luck
I'm just going to go ahead with the re-registration and see if it gets rejected, I've not actually got a V5, it was bought as a personal export so it got a VX302 insteadSend the V5 back to DVLA with a letter and they will investigate it and resolve.
