Looking at modified single turbo Mk4 Supras after having just sold my S1 Elise.

Anyone driven both that can offer a comparison? Is the step down in steering feel good enough for the track?

Cheers!

I've driven a non-turbo Supra and own an S2 Elise.

The Supra is really more of a GT than a sports car - it feels quite heavy and not particularly agile even compared to other similar sized cars let alone an Elise. I don't remember much about the steering feel one way or the other so it's probably nothing particularly special. I'm sure the turbo is blisteringly fast in a straight line but I doubt it's going to be much of a track car. The RX7 might be a better bet if you can live with the economy and potential engine issues?
Yeah fully expecting it to be a barge in comparison. Interested in the chassis balance/feel for playing with it on the limit rather than out and out lap times.

Can anyone comment from a modified/track setup point of view?

You seem to go from one extreme to another, like me.
A change is always good. The S1 was great but it is time for something ocean-esque!

Few Hot Version videos show they can be fun especially in the wet. Steering feel is another matter. Heard de-powering the rack improves that so may be an option.
