Lots of threads on here contain statements like "I had one of those, wish I'd never got rid." but I can't find a thread that pulls them all together - a list of lost loves if you like. So, I thought I'd start one, and see how it goes.

The object is to post a pic of the one car you really miss, and maybe explain why you miss it. There will be no teasing, or trolling, or wind ups, just an opportunity for you to post about your lost love. (although this is pH, so there probably will be teasing, trolling etc).

Let's see if we can keep it nice and civilised.

I'll start.

This:

1997 C200 Sport spec - bought it in 2000 (p'exd a 12 month old A Class) and kept it until 2007 when I emigrated. Sold it to my Dad (pic is of it when he had it) who kept it as a 3rd car for 12 months before realising I wasn't coming back and he didn't need a 3rd car. He sold it to a "cash for cars" trader who kept it for himself.

It really was fantastic. Yes it had started to rust by the time I got rid of it, but not badly, and thanks to me being silly enough to only ever go to an MB dealer for servicing it was mechanically perfect.

I even liked the colour.

All that went wrong in the 7 years I owned it was the viscous coupling for the fan (fixed under warranty), the wiper mechanism went haywire (known weak point), and an ABS sensor went (which resulted in a brown trouser moment when it locked up on me on a damp road).

I miss it lots frown

According to DVLA it is still taxed, and MOT'd until March next year! (the A Class it replaced doesn't show up at all).

Right, your turn.
