Hey I have found a rust hole on my car, as I was in the process of doing some rust treatment its under the bonnet and behind the bumper.

Is this in a structural position i.e an mot failure

Don't they have to be within 300mm of braking or suspension joints?

Its a bracket I think that holds the metal behind the bumper there's one either side of the front of the car

Depends on an awful lot of things -- what car, is it structural, is it in 300mm of a prescribed area (you'd be surprised how much area that can cover).

Better pics, what car, etc. will help. But just about anything can be repaired.
Thanks I will take a better picture tomorro

I suspect it's just the bumper beam.
Its probably worse where you can't see it.

I wouldn't worry about it.
Thanks this not 300mm from a point were it would be an mot failure then?

The hole is on one of the clips on the bumper beam, is this not too much of a problem then?

It is the bumper beam this and the rear bumper beam are quite rusted. While the rest of the car is pretty decent really. Is this a common thing. Do they make them out of a poor quality metal?

Would it be expensive to have a new bumper beam/ brackets fitted if needed?

Its a Suzuki swift gls so a cheap car, but I like it there isn't much rust on the car just one bracket on the bumper beam that has a hole in it. Could it just be left then if it not an mot failure?

Iv rust treated the rest of the bumper beam and brackets could I just put some metal filler in to bridge the hole?
