Kia/Ford Share components?
Discussion
A Local garage struggled to source a rear brake cylinder for my wife's Kia Rio (fine car, thrilling to drive ).
Local motorfactors and Kia Main Dealer all supplied the wrong part based on the Reg/age/type.
In the end it seems the sourced the part from Hendy Ford with the following part number:
P-K5833016000 (Or maybe P-KS833016000 - can't read my writing).
SO in general to Kias and Fords share many components?
Can anyone identify the Hendy Ford part number and give me a more generic part number if I ever need one again?
TIA.

That's not a Ford part number, that's for sure.
As far as I know, we don't share components with our competitors and the suppliers can't share our stuff without us getting ... cash.
Thanks everyone, especially Ground Effect. As far as I know, we don't share components with our competitors and the suppliers can't share our stuff without us getting ... cash.
Interesting that it's not a Ford part number, I'm mildly concerned that the guy just made up a part number to get rid of me and next time I'll have the same hassle as they did to source one.
Time will tell.
