What would you buy?
The 911 or Chimera?
Car will just be used mainly as a weekend end toy although i expect the 911 would be more usable for more often use than the chimera.
Thats if i could find a descent 911 for my budget.

Witch would you go for any why?

Thanks for the reply's so far keep them coming.
About 10 or so years ago i was in the same position im in now only then its was a choice of 3 cars.
M3 evo
Tvr
Air cooled 911 (they were a lot cheaper then)

At the time i went for the BMW as it was the newest and at the time best performing car out of the 3 or so i thought.

Then the day came when i had a bit of a play with a chimera and he just seemed to cruise past, At the point i,d known i,d bought the wrong car.

Ive been thinking of buying a tvr for the past few months until a few few weeks ago a Dax ac cobra fell into my hands witch looked amazing but after a week or so i started to dislike it wasent a v8 btw
It just felt like a toy car not really as in factory built witch of course it was wasent.

Witch has got me thinking is the tvr going to feel the same being made of fiberglass ?
Now ive seen a few nice looking 911.s has got me all mugggled again.

Apologizes for any spelling or grammar mistakes BTW but its early on a Sunday morning biggrin

Whats your thoughts on this?

Descent chims seem harder to come by.

Well went to see a chim today, To drive it more than anything as it dident have power steering so i wanted to see how it felt.
Well the steering wasent as bad as i was expecting.
The rest of the car was a right dog, The owner kept going on how he had spent £2000 replacing all the interior leather.
Shame the rest of the car looked like it had been dragged up from the bottom of a canal!

Couldn't really give it the beans but was sort of expecting a little for from a 4.0

TVRJAS said:
I can't understand with your budget that you are coming across cars like this. Most cars without PS would be Pre 95 and at your budget you should be getting into a later car. Saying that PS was an optional extra when buying new so there may be the random late car out there without.

Was it a private viewing or dealership? You never replied to what part of the country you are from.
Im in South Wales near abergavenny.
The car i went to see today was private and only 20 miles down the road, Went to have a cheeky test drive more than anything to see how they drive.
But the way the car was presented i,d be very suprised if he gets his asking price.

No worries but thanks for the offer anyway.
Just out of interest im guess low 20,s high teens but what they like on petrol?
Had a few gas guzzlers in the past just wondering if it makes much difference with the weight of a fiberglass car.

Well the 450,s are like rocking horse st at the moment.
Found a nice looking 400 face lift model on the bay,
Ticks most of the boxes apart from the naff naff leather.

Don't see many of the mk2 face lifts about either, Where they not that popular when new?
