330ci sport values
Discussion
I've had a hankering for a decently spec'ed 330 for a decent price and have been looking on and off for a year. But the longer I look the higher the prices seem to be rising. For a budget of around 3-4k there's not very much choice out there, never mind the clubsport that everyone says doesn't command a premium. Ha bloody ha. Have you seen the prices for a good clubsport.
Now the question is. Is the 330ci sport going to classic status and prices levelled out

No actually I'm looking for a 2003 or before model as it falls into classic car insurance territory.
I'm looking for one that's done under 100k miles with a few options.
All the decent ones are near 400 miles away from me and I don't want to travel that far.
There is only three on auto trader within 100 miles . Where have they all gone?
The clubsports in decent nick under 5k goes really really quick.

Yup I have recently traveled over a hundred miles each way to look at one that was described as good condition.
My arse. Bloody rust on all four arches and more knocks and rattles than a rock band.
So I am very wary about travelling now .
I have my heart set on a coupe as I really like the design. Had a 325ci years ago and wish I never sold it.
So if anyone knows of a good un to sell around the Scotland area gives us a shout. Cheers

Hmm 15mpg does sound a bit low but I don't know why I've got this idea stuck in my head that I really really want one.
Its going to be a garage queen anyway only coming out on the odd day as I have a wee connect to potter around in most days. Just need to find one in good nick and I'm sorted.
Perfect car would be a facelift 03 with HK ,heated seats and Bluetooth anything else would be a bonus.
Rare as hens teeth.......
Went to see a 52 plate one with the highest spec I've ever seen in one and I mean everything.
Xenon, sunroof, HK, Bluetooth, satnav, TV, heated seats, extra lumbar control,6 disc changer, rear electric blinds and somebody put working flappy paddles on it but my god it was rusty, on all four arches and along the sills, the boot was the worst. The garage said it'll all be fixed but I know the rust will come back with a vengeance sooner or later.
So the search continues.......

Damn the cheapest 02's in Scotland are around the 3k mark and decent ones are 4-5k.
I would love one at 2grand but after looking for ages I've no chance. I'm going to look at an 02 plate clubsport in silver later on today up at 5k but it's done 65k miles. It's got no options but the vendor has described it as being in perfect nick.
We'll see when I get up there.

Ok went to see the silver clubsport...... 65k miles my arse. Theres so much black leather polish on the seats to cover the wear it came off on my trousers when I got out of the car.
The splitters were missing, someone pulled out the original cd player and badly fitted in a Sony one.
The passenger side window would not go back up the last inch. The interior trim are quite worn.
The worst was the fan squealed like a cat and the air con wasn't working.
To expect a 12 year old car for top money and with all these niggles plus its sitting on barum Tyres was taking the piss a bit.
Like my wife says , you don't need to change the car you're just in it for the hunt and thinking she's probably got a point ,I really enjoy looking and researching on the net for the next car but when I travel to all these places and spent my time and petrol money its getting me down a bit.
Why can't people just describe the cars as it is cause I'm going to see the truth anyway when I get there. I probably won't mind too much if its priced realistically but come on if I go and trade that car in i'll probably be lucky to get 2k.
I'm gonna let it lie a bit now and try in again in 6 months time and hopefully there will be a better standard of car out there when I do look again.
Thanks to everyone for the input and suggestions. Cheers

Ok got myself a half decent one.
Sapphire black ,auto, sunroof and xenons that's it.
Its pretty well speced as standard any way but would have been nice to have heated seats as that is what I really wanted.
Drives really well and oh so smooth. Wasn't much of a service history but I bought on the overall condition of the car and the interior is outstanding. Only thing is there is a bit of rust on the front arch but I went to ecp and picked one up for thirty quid and a friendly painter is gonna paint it for me for 60 quid. So not too bad.
I've already fitted a android head unit so that's keeping me entertained and also I won't miss the OEM sat nav and Bluetooth as this is a better solution.
Now just need to give it a good service and I'm a happy bunny. Oh just before people ask I paid 2600 for it which is not bad for my neck of the woods.
Thanks to everyone for their input and suggestions along the way.
