Insurance is odd isn't it?

I've just updated my address with my insurance for my MINI Cooper S, and i now have to pay another £180 from now until June next year!
I've recently been on all the comparison sites punching in details of an almost endless list of prospective cars to replace the MINI, including Mercedes CLS's, BMW M3's, Golf GTI's, BMW 330i etc etc, and they are all cheaper to insure than the MINI, barring a CLS500!
What i have to do now, is pay £30 to cancel my policy, buy a new car and take out a new policy on a more expensive and powerful car to save myself some cash!
