Surely I'm not alone here?

I HATE it when people lean or sit on any of my cars! It's probably a bit of OCD coming into play, but I just cannot stand seeing someone else sitting or leaning on the car, as there are always smudges and marring left behind, and even light scratches. However, while I accept that the above is probably OTT, this evening took the biscuit! I had my Accord resprayed at great expense a few days ago, and tonight was it's first outing so I took swmbo out for a meal as a treat for us both. Upon leaving the restaurant however, I am greeted by a respectable looking woman sat ON TOP of my bonnet, with her bag placed aside her and one foot perched on the front alloy, meanwhile she is there nattering on the phone.

Frankly I was furious, and even after yelling at her to GTFO my car, she was in no rush and first had to end her phone call and put it in her bag, before sliding her arse off the bonnet and wing then dragged her bag off too. This is where you guys will probably slate me, but I had no hesitation in getting her details and told her I would seek compensation for any damage, as there are multiple scratches and marring, some of which I can feel. I will be speaking to the body shop tomorrow and hope they can be removed via buffing and wetsanding, but I'm skeptical to be honest! I just cannot believe someone would be so careless and dispectful, and that it would happen 3 bloody days after a full respray and detail...

Anyway, rant over!

Oh, and no she had no remorse and didn't even offer an apology. She even came out with the whole "but it's only an old Honda!".

Next time, ignore her. Get quietly into the car, start it up, slip it into reverse, blip the gas, dump the clutch.
Frankly, I just wanted to kick her in the sponge...

I wanted to do much worse, but I didn't want to ruin swmbos night even though she was pretty upset about it all.

I'm just heartbroken tbh. Just came back from having a smoke, and you can really see the marks under the garage lights, one of which looks like it's down to the primer frown. Even with her details though, doubt I can prove she did it so I'll probably end up paying for it myself.

no your not alone OP, i would have dragged the fking cretin off the car so fast she wouldnt have had time to end her phone call!

WTF is it with people and not respecting other peoples property?! regardless of whether it is old or not, you dont own it so fk off away from it!

Ill assume it was the usual skanky chav type thats knocked out several kids by 7 different blokes that was sitting on your car?
Yes the "respectable" in my OP was ever so slightly sarcastic hehe

Noticed that the alloy has a nasty Mark where she had her shoe too, only got them back from Lepsons the other fecking week! Bloody amazing what amount of damage she has done really, all from just sitting on it. frown

You're an anally retentive man who owns an Accord.

Some bird sitting on your car is honestly the very least of your myriad sociological problems.
You'll have to do better than that chap, but it gave me a giggle, needed that! hehe

Pretty sure she was a woman, not a bird, But she could easily pass as a hippopotamus when viewing from the rear, thanks to that rather rotund arse of hers!

Edit: never mind it makes sense now. Had a skim of your profile. rofl

Small update, stopped by the body shop on the way to work and got the painters opinion. The bad news is that it will need the bonnet respraying, and then blowing into the wing, then wetsanding and buffing. The good news is that he has plenty of paint left over, so he said he'll do it for some beer money. Top bloke, although I'll still chuck him a good bit more than that if I'm happy with the finish.

Booked in for tomorrow anyway, will be done next week, and I'll be leaving the mark on the wheel. Whole situation is a PITA, but hopefully this will be sorted relatively easily and I can start forgetting about the wench that decided to lounge about on my bonnet...bh. hehe

Frankly, I patted myself on the back last night for not losing the plot. I certainly gave her strong word, and was incredibly tempted to pick her up and fling her into the hedge when she ever so casually slid her arse off while giving me a "what's the big deal" look. The biggest shock was swmbo! She's a quaint lovely little lady, but upon seeing this cretin on the bonnet, she gave out a string of insults, highlights being "did the job centre not teach you manners?" and "don't forget your cellulite..." as she heaved her legs off the car. rofl

As for chasing the costs, I won't bother. It won't cost too much, just more hassle and I doubt she would pay even if I could prove it. I do have her address though, wonder if she has a car...Would love to return the favour! hehe

Forgive me, but I'm unable to process how a woman sitting on your bonnet means that it requires a complete respray - and how she has managed to mark an alloy by resting her foot on it - have you pictures of the damage caused, unless she was wearing a chainmail suit I fail to see how that could be the case??
Well there are 2-3 scratches that have went through to the primer, so in order to get a decent finish, you can't really do a spot repair then blend as you will spot it a mile off, especially with it being a pearlescent paint. Didn't look whether her jeans had metal on the rear, but I'd say it's very likely considering the damage. As for the wheel, that'll be the high heel catching it as she had her heel in between a spoke acting as a "support" for her tree trunk looking legs!

Here's some pics, if you look closely you can see small swirlmark-esque lines from where her arse slid off, and there's 3 other scratches bunched together that I tried to capture from a wide angle but the reflections made them invisible.

fk that's a lot of damage! I take it all back, you should have knocked her to the ground and then driven over her.
Indeed! Hard to get decent pictures with a phone though, had to adjust the ones above to make them more visible but at least you guys get an idea.

Well it was out of the shop just a couple of days earlier, and took about two days worth of reassembly so roughly 5 days worth of curing. I believe that the damage was caused just by pure weight and the fact that she MUST of had metal on her jeans. As for the swirl lines, any car will get that if you rub jeans on the paint with high pressure. As for her age, late 20's I'd say. I'm 22 so would of expected her to be more conscious of what she was doing!

Unfortunately lots of people have no issue with touching and leaning on random cars. I took OH's young brother to a car show, and had to tell him to look, not touch...It wasn't until I explained what damage rubbing and leaning on cars can do, that he understood.
