V-Power fuel on e46 325i
Discussion
Just bought myself a 325i
Decided to pay the extra and fill her up with v-power.
I felt a quite noticeable difference in how smoothly the car accelerated and dropped gears!
My question though is; was this a placebo effect???
Or should I notice such difference?? I assumed it would only make considerable difference in high powered turbo cars you see.
Appreciate your replies and any comments on v-power fuel in general!

My 320d was giving me 40mpg with v-power.
After a tank of normal stuff it's now down to 39 and will continue dropping to 35.
It runs very rich because it's always cold. Suspect broken thermostat but cant be arsed fixing it, but the v-power does make a difference, albeit only small. No difference in performance though.

I have the M54 3.0 engine in my E39 530i. I think the engine runs smoother on V Power, but it makes sod all difference to the performance or fuel consumption. I use it sometimes, the engine is definitely quieter at idle with V Power. It's only a couple of quid extra a tank, so no big deal.
Our diesel dog car / caravan car Croma 1.9 multijet 150 runs and starts noticeably better on v power, so unless there is a mega offer like 10p off per litre I generally run v power in it and occasionally treat my N/A impreza to it. It doesn't seem to make noticeable difference on my non turbo petrol
Ran a 330 ci for a couple of years and tried all the posh fuels and to be honest the car did seem to drive smoother and just seemed to have more pick up.Did the sums as well and the extra miles per gallon made up for the extra cost , so for me bit of a no brainer really, and it seemed to run the best and give the best miles per gallon on v power compared to all the other posh ones .
