V-Power fuel on e46 325i

Just bought myself a 325i

Decided to pay the extra and fill her up with v-power.

I felt a quite noticeable difference in how smoothly the car accelerated and dropped gears!

My question though is; was this a placebo effect???

Or should I notice such difference?? I assumed it would only make considerable difference in high powered turbo cars you see.

Appreciate your replies and any comments on v-power fuel in general!

Mixed bag of opinions then!

Overall from others opnions then-
Definitely affects smoothness, so more enjoyable to drive
Increases fuel efficiency but probably doesn't cover the additional cost
Doubt it improves performance! Or very marginal improvement
