Getting the smell of smoke out of an interior

Has anyone got any tips for getting the smell of smoke out of a cloth interior?

My wife's new daily driver was clearly owned by a smoker until recently. We hoped a few days of dangling an air freshener around would do the trick, but it hasn't. The seats have to remain in place - we can't take them out and wash them - but are there any 'spray on' type products that are worth trying?
