Needs to be cheap to run and insure as will be passed to 18 year old.

Otherwise yes there are more fun options

I'm sure it'll be fine.

Took the words out of my mouth. Also a dash that will resemble Blackpool illuminations. Airbag light could be an easy fix though as it can be related to the wiring under the seat. Just needs a jiggle.
Do you know something that I dont?

Finally got back. More problems with my parent lift than the new car...

Overall not bad. Headlights are dull. Looks like someone's tried sanding the lights and given up. There's been an oil leak fixed, but x'd oil not cleaned. Nearly burned off now. There's a noise on steering from Column that needs investigating sooner rather than later.

Drives well but bloody noisy on the motorway.

Well the Clio is not going to be a keeper. The basic soundness is there, but there are issues.

1. Knocking on the steering - It's either suspension mounts or a bearing on the steering column. Neither is hugely expensive using our local chap.
2. Indicator does not tick - This is £350 to fix. It's mounted on the car's main board that can't be reprogrammed. So it's a new and dealer only part. Crap.
3. One seat does not fold (not sure if MOT fail or not?).
4, It's bloody noisy.

It's plus points remain the sound engine, and economy. 46 MPG Ave on what is nearly always short cold journeys.

To get through it's next MOT is going to cost more than the car.... So I will move it on. Would make a decent little runner for someone inclined to sort it out.

I'm off to collect a £450 Pug 307 tomorrow smile As per usual don't know an awful lot about it other than no one else wanted it....
