All other classic cars are increasing in value except the Esprit - why?

Race pedigree = F1 constructors winners many times in the 70s
Looks = great looking car! very low and wedge shaped
Iconic = James Bond car

Not so good: engine not being a V8, hence lack of sound, plastic body.

Overall it's a stunning looking car, and for £11 - 15k for an eighties icon I don't think you can get better.....

But the good examples are very much increasing in value smile

Why do some folk post such uninformed, generalised rubbish on here?

Some wonderful Esprit pictures on here smile- now where's the one of the bikini blonde standing alongside the white S3 Turbo in the centre of Norwich....
Back up your comments.....where is your proof that prices that rising?? S3 Turbos have been around the £13k mark for the last 20 years - if they had been rising they would be £30k by now.

I can only comment on my personal experience - I purchased a S3 Turbo Dry Sump for just under £6k 3 years ago (spent £2k on it whilst in my ownership)and sold it to an European buyer last year for £18k - wish my other 'investments' had returned equal return in 2 years smile
You just got lucky - don't see other owners being in this position.

S1 and S2s look the most dramatic, but I also love the 1982 turbo as per For your eyes only which looks very mean

Is the bumper on the red car smaller than the one on the white car? I have realised that I prefer the black bumper cars.

Just wait for an EVO article - Harry will buy one, they'll proclaim it the greatest ever, everyone will spaff themselves over it and say how wrong everyone has been because 2 blokes love it, values will rise massively, Harry will sell making a huge profit and normality will resume.
Good thing then that Harry has left EVO.....
