Spacious comfortable car for up to 5k?

Looking to get a generally nice car for the road,I have a little track car so all my urge to race everywhere goes on that.

I don't mind a diesel if it's a solid engine,probably have the dpf removed on one though.
No big engines
0-60 must be 10 seconds or under.
Good spec inside
Comfortable and can carry people comfortably.
Drives well

I've had a little look at mercedes and lexus,heard bad about the lexus diesels.not checked out Audi and bmw yet as I find them just too common on our roads.I'd still take one though

Anybody advise?particularly on how reliable their recommendation is etc? Thanks

When I say drive well I just mean that it handles half decent and it all drives smoothly.the 525d looks good,always liked the Saab estates but concerned about parts as they're not made anymore? Volvos too boring

Just don't like the idea of a Volvo.im 21,don't feel it would suit me,same as a jaguar xf,good car but not for me yet.:P

I had a focus which is similar to a mondeo in terms of interior,I love fords but it's not exactly the car I wanna drive people around in.i know the new skodas are really good,the volvos and saabs seem really good.
I'd prefer something that could carry five adults comfortably,I've been in Audi a4s that struggled with three kids in the back let alone adults and I've sat in newer E class mercs which seemed spacious,my focus was more spacious than an A4 so was just trying to correlate how much more spacious an a6 would be to an A4?or is there not really a car that will carry five adults out there?
I refuse to own a citreon Renault or Peugeot for the person that was asking,because they look awful,are built awful and the people tht drive them are all morons as they have no interest in cars which is the original reason someone would buy a citreon Picasso or Renault espastic.

I'm interested in the volvos,skoda bmw merc Audi Saab,they all interest me,was just tht I only knew what the bmw and mercs were like,I do not want a French motor for the reason of their reliability and build quality,true or not,I don't wanna pay £300 for a headlight replacement like on the megane?

See a skoda superb 1 owner 2006 full leather sat nav heated front and rear,every option really for £4200! I guess if it could carry four adults in comfort that's good,I wasn't sure if saloons would carry five and was also part of my original question.
