Gemballa announces Panamera GTP720

Ugly? Yes. Ostentatious? Of course. But heck is it fast

In amongst all the ludicrous numbers associated with Gemballa GTP 720, there's one that stands out. The 0-186mph time for this 720hp Panamera is half a minute quicker than the standard car. According to Gemballa's figures this four-door Porsche needs just 26.4 seconds to reach 186mph compared to 60 for the standard (and still very fast) Panamera Turbo.

Shouldn't have to look long with 720hp

On the way it reaches 62mph in 3.2 seconds and 124mph in 9.7. That latter figure is only a second off the McLaren 650S and enough, says Gemballa, to claim some new records. As well as being the fastest "Panamera-based car" at the Sachsenring with a 1:37.08 lap, it also holds the acceleration record "for roadworthy cars of its weight category (approx 2.3t)." How prestigious.

And that's about it for the GTP 720. No doubt it's very expensive (Gemballa is very proud of the money invested in R&D for its upgrades) and hopefully available in just one colour. It may not look it but a Panamera that can reach 124mph faster than a Lamborghini Huracan is quite cool.
