25K Budget depreciation proof daily drive ??

Got 25K to spend, no need for back seats. Daily drive 50mile round trip to work

Currently considering 997.1 2S after previously owning a 996. Find it hard to have to run the risk of potential serious engine failure / bore scoring with a car for this price. Or have I read too many scare posts?

Anything out there depreciation proof at this price?

What else should I consider? E90 M3? RS4 Avant? E46 CS?

Thought I had decided on the 997 but now not so sure.....

scrap the depreciation part especially the miles I will do - 12K per year, maybe just not something that will drop off a cliff. I consider maintenance separate to depreciation and comes with the territory

Fuel economy low 20's I could live with

Keep them coming guys, had a K-series S2 elise as a daily drive for a couple of years. Evora could be interesting...

Still un-decided but no rush as the current hack still has 4 months tax on it.

996TT would be very nice but out if reach already I fear.

Any experience of the E46 M3 CS? Worth a premium and more useable than CSL?

Maserati would be awesome but must be scary if anything needs doing....
