...checked oil and water, fine, stuck the jump leads up and she fired up (apparently she's been in the hedge for at least 3 years - recent house move).

Seems to idle fine for the first minute or two, but then it starts to idle erratically when warm. Any ideas? I'm thinking automatic choke is stuck maybe?

She can move under her own steam, but will cut out if the throttle isn't pressed.

31k miles from new.

No idea what I'm going to do with it yet. Ideas welcome smile

Haha. Some good suggestions! I did think about putting it on ebay as a "Hedge Find". biggrin

The hedge was about 30ft high and 16ft wide...

Will stick a couple of quids worth of petrol in tomorrow and I'll see what happens.

Inside is surprisingly clean, just has a couple of cobwebs.

Unfortunately there is no V5 or any documents for that matter.

p.s. I promise I won't wash it.

Right, after delving further, mainly on the dvla/gov website, it was last taxed in 2006. Where it seems to have been stood on the farm ever since. These things are £145 per year to tax btw.

I got the key from the previous owner of our house.

There is no V5, but can apply with a £25 fee. Might list it on eBay for the craic as a "hedge find" and see what happens, in which case I'll get the V5, I think, and SORN it.

All electrics seem to work. Got a puncture on one tyre, but have a brand new spare in the boot (sorry no dead cat in there - just a bit of rope, engine oil and a wheel brace). Oh and the exhaust is blowing.

One thing that did surprise me though was that the handbrake was on when I entered the car and I expected it to be seized, but it released fine and works a treat.
