Anyone installed sound deadening?

Mrs OS has recently acquired a 3 door Seat Ibiza, and while on the whole she's very pleased with it, it does seem awfully noisy (mostly tyre/road and wind noise).

I realise I can't do a lot about the wind noise but I was looking at installing some sound deadening mats like these under the carpet and in the boot to hopefully soak up some of the road noise.

Anyone done this before, and did it have much of an effect? I did try and persuade her that another LS400 on the fleet would be a great idea (and like a library in comparison) but she wasn't overly impressed by my mpg

Just spent the last half hour reading your thread, very impressive! Don't think I'll be going to town as much as you have, I plan on doing the boot and under the rear seats first because that seems to be where a lot of the noise is coming from. If that seems to make a difference then it's going to be a front seats and carpet out job to do the rest of the floor.

There's a thread on the Seat Cupra forum about removing the door cards on an Ibiza and it looks like a right pig of a job so I'm hoping I can get away without doing them.
