I dropped my SRT 10 Ram into American Vehicle Sevicing in Braintree yesterday to sort the sticking brake callipers out.

Offer of a loan car much appreciated for the day.

I wait whilst all sorts of tasty vehicles are pulled out of the garage - F150's, Rams, etc and lastly what appears to be a grey car of unknown origin, ideal for your teenage daughter who's just passed her test - this is mine for the day. Great!

I drive off after a couple of minutes trying to get the seat back further and am alerted to a problem with the car - no fuel.

OK, garage ahead - no problem.

Does this thing take diesel or petrol??? It's fairly quiet but nothing advertising 'TDi' on the back of the car or any clues elsewhere and the fuel cap is black. On the inside of the fuel filler is a picture of a pump with a line though it.

I gave in and rung the dealer.

Shall I hand in my man card and never come here again?

:-(

Since you couldn't even figure out who manufactured it, then you should probably hand in any sharp objects you own at the same time.
There was a picture of a tiger or lion on the wheel?

Peugeot lol
I noticed other small car users appeared to look down on it so possibly it was.

It rained on the way back and the wipers weren't exactly intuitive either I can tell you...

You're clearly playing the stupid card for comedic effect.

You knew exactly what you were driving and the fuel it needed.
It was grey and small and as stated in my op no clues to the fuel type on the filler.

I've given it back now thankfully!

Seriously despite the doubters, I did ring them although I was 75% sure it took petrol. The chap on the phone was kind enough not to laugh too much.

I can see how filling cars with the wrong fuel is common.

I didn't photograph it as it wasn't much to look at but it did use a lot less fuel than I'm used to.

To be fair, you lost quite a few man points when you bought that big jock strap you were having fixed.
I think you can say that about pretty much everything that's not grey with a dragon/tiger/lion on the wheel and uses unknown fuel types!

More of a man driving the Peugeot than the monsterous pile of American tat you took in.
That's an interesting observation.

Thanks for sharing!

I call BS. No one is this stupid.
I think its's disappointing that you can't take this thread at face value.

Give AVS a call on Monday and ask for John, he'll confirm my stupidity!
