What's the least effort you've seen put in to prepping a car for sale?

The 'cheapest car in the classifieds' thread reminded me of when I went shed-hunting recently. I saw a '52 Avensis at a dealer just down the road from where I work that was up for £595. The pictures on the website didn't look too bad - a few scuffs here and there but nothing major, and it (apparently) had 12 months MOT. I phoned up at 9 and said I'd be there at about 1 - so they'd got 4 hours to at least chuck a bucket of water over it.

First off when I turned up at 1 it took the two blokes 'working' there (who were sitting around doing bugger all), a good 15 minutes to even find the car. Eventually they established that they'd parked it behind a church down the road. When I saw it it was apparent that it had been there for quite some time - completely flat tyres, plastered in tree sap and bird st, pretty much every panel with an awful bodged paint repair, and green mould around the windows. I don't know why I didn't turn round and leave at that point but I stayed long enough to find out that other features included a boot that wouldn't open, a stone dead battery and an interior you wouldn't want to get into without an isolation suit on. God knows where they got the MOT from.

Now I'm not expecting perfection, or anywhere near, for £600. It may have been A1 mechanically. But it really was the sorriest looking pile of crap I've ever seen, to the point that I actually felt quite embarrassed for the bloke trying to sell me it. Has anyone else experienced such a total lack of effort from a seller?

Good studio shot, but how hard can it be to go over it with a brush, and at least renew the tyres??
That's concours compared to the Avensis I mentioned in the OP! I have a friend who works as a gamekeeper who mentioned that he was having a tough time selling his Nissan Navara - the next time I saw it I suggested that all the bloodstains in the back might not be helping...
