..Here is my attempt at creating a thread which celebrates the positive side of motoring. There are loads of threads berating people's cars and their driving but not everyone is a total C*ck, so I thought it might be good to highlight cars and driving which more than came up to standard.

So here goes, Friday evening, commuting home on A338 Spur Road out of Bournemouth at 4.45 PM. Busy. I am one of many in the outside lane overtaking a line of slower cars. Guy behind in black car with day time lights on is keeping a very decent distance behind, which is very unusual these days. When I pull over, he cruises past and I see that its a black Renaultsport Megane 265 or 275 Cup (very nice). The guy is then quickly tailgated. Doesn't react, just carries on overtaking, keeping his respectful distance from vehicle in front and then pulls over at the appropriate moment.

I thought "class act mate, you've got a very cool and capable car there, but don't feel the need to show off or intimidate"...

  • EDIT** Typo in the title of my thread, not sure how to amend it to "one single thing that makes you think "class" Doh!

I have to join a dual carriageway every morning at the top of my road from standstill, as it doesn't have a proper slip road. Most drivers don't bother to move over, as they would do if I was on a slip road at speed filtering in....this morning a guy saw me trying to join the carriageway and moved over. It doesn't happen often and I gave him a wave in appreciation...

The driver moving over for me showed a touch of class for simply being awake and attentive!
