Best Estate car

Looking for a car

I want an estate (got two dogs) but want something reasonably powerful, and hopfully can tow a trailer/ motorbike too.
Looking second hand

Was thinking about a Rover 75 estate of all things, just because I like the shape and they seem quite reliable (Jaguar heritage, some have BMW engines etc) but am happy to be corrected.

Or possibly something else....

My budget is up to 2/ 2 and a half k

What would you recommend? Looking for something (reasonably) reliable..
