Looking to set up a overtaking/whats coming viewer....I drive a lot in the EU and also own a left hooker (fun) car in the UK.

I was thinking of a "action" cam feeding the view to a Android (Samsung) phone

any advice other than the £300+ on the GoPro type ?

Cheers

Hi

I was thinking of a unit that I could switch between cars frown....

That said, what would you recommend, I do NOT have a TV screen in either of my cars BTW and I will not fit one of the Screen Head-Uints as I wish to keep the Citroen ACTIVA V6 in original spec and without massive $$$ cannot change the Citroen C5x7 as the searing wheel controls are so complicated no "adapters" are made for it.)

What are those 2 balls where the strut tops are meant to be?
Maybe a 101 on Citroen suspension is needed smile

Have you looked at the SJCAM SJ4000 instead of the gopro? I bought one for about £60 and it is probably on par with my mates gopro
Do you know if that can hook up with Live view without lag to a Samsung (or like) phone ? or does it have to be a separate monitor.

(I have emailed the makers as well)

Thanks bud

Yep seen it and thanks.....but not paying £150 for that quality, it needs to be better and I think the action cam type would give it, just no maker seems to say which ones can without lag

Nice V6, by the way thumbup .
Thank you, its the only original one in the UK as well which caused a few "WTF-is that" moments at the DVLA and insurance brokers who had to add it to the system smile

Country B. roads can be a pain....a quick "squirt" overtake is what I miss round here so a short distance should be OK for a decent camera is my thinking.

A. roads of course, I hang back as it has plenty to go from far back without problems.

upreme comfort and the ability for the suspension to adapt to different road conditions. Remember though that this was released in 2005 so it was miles ahead of the cars today that have computer adjustable suspension (and it was ultimately evolved from the original hydropneumatic system that Citroen fitted to the Traction Avant's rear end in 1954, and to all 4 corners of the DS in 1955).
It is the most under rated automotive technology with a very undeserved "rep" from monkeys with dirty hands and a old spanner....I can lower my boot sill to 18 inches to load or hitch a trailer, can also select more ground clearance than a LandRover Disco for the next round of Somerset floods, the car lowers itself at speed on good roads and raises on rough tracks, and still I'm nice and comfy with talented handling at speed in "sports suspension" mode. Oh, and 600kg in the boot makes zero difference to ride height either smile

Good C5 Exclusives on a 10 plate are about 5K for a 2.o ltr Derv (160hp) with a ASIAN adaptive box in estate form, the most under priced tourer on the market.

Been driving them since the Mk1...always with Hydro Suspension and not those silly coiled spring things first used in the Magic Roundabout. They have been great for me, now I am on the latest type and can not reconcile the cons they list at all. In fact I was driving next doors new Audi a4 estate for two weeks (he was ill and needed to be taken to hospital every day), horrid thing that was so bleeding uncomfortable on anything but hyper smooth tarmac....nasty every day !

Funny how that review does not even mention the suspension options ?.....I don't think they did anything other than a cut a paste job, you can tell, in fact I would bet who ever wrote that has never driven one with liquid and gas smile

That must be the most positive spin ever written about a car placed 139 in 150
What did they say about the car placed 138
I don't care about reviews/lists that are made up......just go by my own personal experience which is long and extensive over the many years. Hey I benefit when you believe those "lists", my cars cost me less.....so thank you and feel free to keep buying over priced BMW's and Audi's that shake your teeth, cheers it is kind of you.

Even WhatCar talk total rubbish

not laughed as much for some time.

Try reading one that was written by someone who did drive one ...http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/citroen/c5/performance

Yep....that is one of my concerns however I can if needed us a 5 inch Tablet, hence not wishing to chuck much money at it, if it does not work I will still have a good(ish) dash cam.

The MOBIUS seem to offer a choice of lens....

Action cameras typically all have wide angle lenses, which when combined with your little phone screen will make oncoming cars appear about two pixels wide at the distance you'll need to be able to see them for a safe overtake. Even if you can see the car on your screen it will be next to impossible to judge its speed and distance.

I think you'll find that they are illegal in most of Europe. You have to use your windows to see where you're going, not a telly.

I know, right?
