Alpine Awakening: Time For Tea?

One man's 30-year Alpine obsession, documented by Petrolicious

A quick heads-up before you watch the latest Petrolicious vid: Jurgen Clauss, as his name implies, is German. He only speaks German. So if you have an issue with subtitled videos this isn't for you.

It's worth reading through the video though, for Jurgen's Alpine love affair is a fascinating one. Like many of these stories the infatuation began as an impressionable youngster, an Alpine always visible when he visited the local cycle track as a child. An object of desire ever since, he bought his first in the mid-80s. It's spiralled a little since then...

Jurgen is clearly extremely passionate about preserving and enjoy these fabulous old cars, to the extent that he now runs the AlpineLAB specialists. Watching the video and seeing Jurgen's Alpine collection, it's easy to see how he has been won over!

Stupendous cars. Had my one & only crash in an A110 25 years ago. I should have bought it off the insurance company, someone else did :-(

Silly money now though, unfortunately.
