Ooh err missus etc. My 6 month old leased Fiesta has got a fair chunk of damage on the sidewall.

Found it during a weekly poke around and can't for the life of me figure out how I did this - if I whacked it up a sharp kerb or if there was just some debris that cut it.

In any case it is what it is - it has a cut and having not been in this position before I'm fairly sure I'm going to need to bite the bullet and replace it. Is there any alternative at all or is this why it makes sense for rarer/more expensive boots to get a bit of cheap tyre cover?

Bloody gutted it's going to cost almost the same as a monthly payment to get sorted but wanted to run it past the PH masses before pricing it up in case I'm missing something.

Good to see there's a split and I'm not just being a bit wet about it.

I think a combo of me doing about 700 miles on it next week AND it being a lease AND being concerned anyway mean I'll get it changed for the peace of mind. Cheers for the help!

I think I just needed the push as obvious as it might be now in hindsight. All arranged to be done later today at a little under a ton. Like a few people have said it would just play on my mind otherwise and in no way is it worth the risk.
