So, the Misses has a Nice Clio , nothing wrong with it and as a rule it's a nice car to drive, etc. But we have 2 kids and we are increasingly having to take 2 cars places as we have the kids friends on sleepovers, etc. and cant put 3 child seats in the rear.

So any suggestions other than a 7 seater ? ( As least I now know why people have them with only 2 kids).

If it has to be a 7 seater, suggestions?( Me and the Misses would both rather not). Budget about 5K ish. the less the better as it's going to get abused around town, trips full of kids etc.

Get an S-SMAX or a Galaxy, the best option, just sold ours for £6500 a few weeks back, had it for 7 years and it aquitted itself well, not cool, but it handled well, was comfy, didnt break and handled every family duty thrown at it, was even decent to drive.

Once you come to terms with it, get the best car for the job, then you get the side benefits of being able to cart kids friends around (dubious benefit) in one car, you get a van for tip runs and moving stuff and they dont lose that much money from that price.
Just too big for our needs, We want Scenic would be ok but not ideal. would prefer a car rather then MPV. Although it this rate looks like we'll be sticking to taking 2 cars!

It's such a shame the multimacs are ridiculously expensive,I'm sure a modular system could be made much cheaper and suitable for various age ranges.

Problem is 5 seaters generally don't have 3 individual seats in the back which TBH is what you want.

You will get people on here saying they managed perfectly well with 3 kids all in seats in the back of a 3 series so why go for anything bigger.

WE had a Mondeo when my wife had our 3rd, we changed to a 7 seater within 3 months.
Just too much hassle getting them in and fastening the belts.

What about a Corolla Verso?

Yes I know they are 7 seaters but they are small for a 7 seater and have 3 individual seats in the back. Most of the time the 3rd row will be down and out of the way.

Decent compromise IMO.

Misses Said the Verso, but getting on a bit now design wise it's an old car, but she likes toyota as used to work for them. I'll have a look myself. this will mainly be her car so will see.
