My car has been cloned!

What a shock, just got a parking fine for one of my cars from a car park in Cobham.. Funny thing is that I have never been to Cobham, funnier thing is that the car in question has never actually been driven on the road except when I drove it to and from its MOT after is was delivered from the port, it has been on a SORN since.

The car is being advertised so I guess they got the reg off the advertisement..

Seems like this is going to be a real pain.. At least I can put myself at work when the "offense" occurred as our entry to the building is logged..

Has this happened to others - what was the outcome? Guess I need to contact the police and the DVLA.

Problem is that this parking company sent me a picture of my number plate.. on someone elses car.. Sadly the number plate does not show their car but I suspect highly unlikely its the same as mine.. As it's a Subaru Sambar VW Campervan lookalike..

Just got off the phone with the police and DVLA so lets hope there are no more tickets on the way...

Exactly what I thought.. its the only way they could have got it as the car has not been o the road..

Its true, they did change the law so that when a proper company makes plates they need to log it and ask for docs but as you say everyone just gets around it by buying "show plates" off ebay..

Police came back to me and have logged the car as suspicious..

Sure, it was the car park at 22 Cobham High Street, KT11 3EB

Reg is P221 CCT mine is a red Subaru Sambar (photos on www.akagiauto.com) So again, pretty unusual.. and hopefully easy to prove its not mine!
