What are peoples thoughts on the 2 series?
Just bought an estoril blue 218d (the ever-so loved diesel) laugh on a cracking deal, ended up being just short of 1k cheaper than my last car on insurance also!
Picking it up next week, can't wait! The reviews seem to be rather in favour of them. biggrin

Oh that's good then! I'd love the M235i, sounds brill and looks like it'd be very nippy and agile!

I think they look fantastic.
A massive upgrade from the 1 series aren't they? I fell in love when I first saw it!

Got any pics?
I never saw my actual car but one in the dealers. It's estoril blue with ferric grey alloys and requested ferric grey wing mirrors (well, the silver colour on the 235i's). The dealer never mentioned anything about the M Performance kit, but tbh, would've been out of budget. I ended up getting around 18% off the car + the price I paid for my last car aswell (£50 loss) so really pleased anyhow!

Also, with this being my first rear-wheel drive car with over 120hp, what makes RWD better than FWD? I hear how it "a lot more fun", but why? smile

Being rear wheel drive should in "theory" make the handling a bit more adjustable on the throttle than typically a front driver would be, and again in "theory" the steering should be less compromised as its only steering going through the front wheels, not power.

In the real world, with 120hp, you'd probably not notice a great deal of difference.
Oh right, I think it's 150 which is a big step up for me, couldn't even begin to imagine what the 300hp+ feels like. laugh
