Volkswagen group shunned by motor industry paper Ward's

It might not seem like a big deal for many people but yesterday I read an editorial in Ward's that said that they were excluding all Volkswagen entries in their "10 best" competition because of the emissions scandal.
Practically every OEM PR team trips over themselves to win these awards because they do provide a degree of credibility to any claims about just how good their products are.
With this move it makes the petrol engined models seem as tarnished as the diesels.
Does anybody know of other publications taking a similar position?

It means that they have to sell cars based on style, reliability, quality and price.
Fuel economy and eco-credibility are now totally off the table as they were disingenuous at best in this regard.
But we will see soon how willing their competitors are to address this issue in advertising.
