Luxury Small Cars

Are there such things?
I've been considering a s/h daily runabout but don't want to feel like I'm in a utility vehicle. I suppose Mini is the obvious answer but I don't like em that much tbh.

What I'm talking about is all the stuff you expect on a barge (leather, satnav, aircon, soft close this, bluetooth that, etc, etc) in hatchback or similar format.

I suppose I could just buy an older barge like an E something M5. These are about the size of today's small cars.
I've just got rid of my beloved but suicidal Vel Satis so I'm pining for the fjords.

I've promised myself never to launch a 'what car' thread so this isn't one. I'm 'just looking' and could just as easily buy a hot rodded American 1950's pick up as a luxury small car.

Hello. I'm the OP.

It's not a 'what car' really. I was just looking at replacing my recently deceased barge with perhaps something smaller but not a step down in quality. But the spec of most smaller s/h cars is very low on the whole (not surprisingly as they are mostly bought on a budget).

I then started thinking if there were any smaller cars that were designed with luxury in mind from the off.
I seem to remember that the Lancia Ypsilon was supposed to be an up-market car from the outset. I suppose that tells me all I need to know about the idea really.

I have plenty of other ideas for the barge replacement - going smaller was just one.
