Best Car to buy around £10k!!

I am currently looking to buy a new car and have £11,000 to spend, however I'd rather spend around 10k and pay off my insurance.

I am looking for quite a fast car and looks sporty but I cannot decide which one to get.
I was looking for opinions on cars that people may have driven and maybe a few new ideas!

I've been set on the MK2 Seat Leon Cupra, also looking at a Honda Civic Type R (FN2), maybe a Mazda 3 MPS or Megane RS.

I do really like the meganes, I've just never driven one yet! It's probably the newest car within the price range really.

The only thing putting me off the likes of an S2000 is practicality!

Sadly I can't insure anything like an Evo or WRX yet!! Or I would have one!

I am going to have a look at some S2000's as they do look good!
I would rather have a bigger car for work etc. But really a its not desperate...
