Lamborghini Huracan MY16 update

Put off a Huracan by its CO2? Now with cylinder deactivation there's no excuse!

What with the Ferrari 488 Spider and McLaren 570S hogging supercar headlines of late, it was clearly high time Lamborghini interjected with something fast, loud and obnoxiously orange.

Here it is then, the 2016 Huracan LP610-4. Doesn't look much different, does it? This is very much a light update rather than a full facelift, the tweaks focused on "efficiency, drivability and luxury". To that end, the 5.2-litre V10 now features cylinder deactivation. Recently introduced on the Spyder, it runs the engine on five cylinders when all 610hp isn't required but switches back to all 10 instantaneously when you do. It reduces CO2 from 290g/km to 283/gkm.

Elsewhere the four-wheel drive has been tuned and now "provides a neutral and even more improved driving behaviour, particularly Strada mode."

To more important matters: "The offer in the color [sic] and trim of the Huracan has been significantly enlarged." See the standard leather door handles and air vents in exclusive black. Don't forget an extended Ad Personam personalisation programme, new LED engine lighting plus an update Lamborghini Sensonum audio system.

So it's much the same Huracan then. In Europe prices are unchanged so expect the same over here, the current RRP £180,720. If this is the Huracan you've been waiting for, it's available to order now.

Are potential buyers really bothered about saving 7gkm, some of the time? I seriously doubt it.
