"If only they'd made it with....."
Discussion
So, curious - there's a lot of cars I have seen but for whatever reason, there's one small (or large) thing they didn't make them with which manages to put me off a car that otherwise ticks all my boxes.
I am sure there must be plenty of people out there who think the same. For me, it's the BMW M6 (E63)... I love the look (believe it or not), the idea, the sound, the performance... but I just can not get over the SMG gearbox. Try as I might. If they did one I would certainly have one on the driveway right now.

Learn to use it properly and do the SMG reset procedure.
SMG moaning is pretty tiresome from people who've driven it for 15 mins in auto mode expecting it to drive like an auto box. Not necessarily directed at you OP as I don't know how long you've tried it for, but I find it absolutely fine even living in London. And then when you take it to the Nurburgring everything makes sense!!
My experience in them is fairly limited, none of it pleasant. I am sure I would eventually "get used" to it - but the issue really is the fact it doesn't seem to be the world's most reliable gearbox either.SMG moaning is pretty tiresome from people who've driven it for 15 mins in auto mode expecting it to drive like an auto box. By all accounts the manual version the USA got actually wasn't that great either... but as we never got it here we'll never know!

suprised nobody has said power steering. Seems to be that everyone in the last decade hated cars that used electric instead of hydraulic.
Very true. Although bizarrely the only car I can think of from recent times that did without it (Alfa 4C) got completely slated for its steering.I would also have loved to have seen an Alfa GTV with RWD. I would have had one if it was the case. FWD in that package seemed off.
