Superbright bulbs in Halfords..are they worth it?

Wandering our local Halfords today and noticed they have these 'super bright' bulbs available in various levels of increased brightness. And they were BOGOF. Is this the new 'chav' thing or are they the real deal for us losers who use the ordinary halogen type. At 35 pounds each they seem a tad expensive
