Well, as the title says. My 90 year old mother in law had her number plates stolen today. You can imagine at that age, she's worried and confused. She's obviously reported it to the police, who have told her to expect all sorts of parking fines etc. to turn up.
Has anyone else experienced this and have you any stories or advice please?

A lot of people take them off before a hoon. Maybe she did this??

Oh, how about hard crime?

Has there been a bank job near you?? Nobody would suspect a 90 year old getaway driver... jester
Lol, you say that, but last week a 73 year old man was arrested here in Sevenoaks for planting a fake bomb in Santander in an attempted robbery. The entire high street was shut down while the army blew the package up! Maybe my m.i.l was the get away?

You could try that thread:

It could result in your M-i-L stopped a lot, so perhaps suggest to police that if it's a car of her make and model driven by an elderly woman they don't stop her repeatedly?
That's a great link, thank you.
