20 years ago, it seems to me, that estates were the kind of car that were only for old people who had given up or families with dogs. Well that was the view anyway. But have things changed?

I'm thinking of buying one for skiing and le mans trips as I love them and I'm only 23!

I'm 24 and drive a 320d touring, remapped, straight through pipes, tinted: awesome!

I like the multi functionality... I take my rents to the airport quite regularly, put all my mates gear in the back and bikes etc... Do it!

And people look at you funny when you burn it off at the lights... Or when drifting around roundabouts!
LOL
Love it. I plan to get a 330d auto estate. Your reasons are why I want an estate

I'm glad you mostly agree! They do look better to their saloon counterparts. All my mid twenties friends are buying them. One has a great s4 estate, another a top spec v70 and another has a 320d touring.

Love them

So here's some cool estates I've had the pleasure of driving....

My mates awesome audi s4 with a rare manual gearbox and milltek cat-back exhaust.

And my dad's ex demo v60 d5 manual, amazing to drive, so smooth with every bit of kit imaginable.

Got my first ever estate a few weeks ago. Went from an MX5 to this so it's taken a bit of getting used to but I love it.

That's fantastic
