For me , it HAS to be flat bottomed steering wheels in ordinary cars.

Saw one in a CT200h.
It has 99 horsepower and the speed of an arthritic sloth!

Name yours.

I was thoroughly disappointed after reading the review about the new Type R. It's just ordinary now.

Retina-burning headlights capable of illuminating the dark side of the Moon. Great for the photocopier selling tosser behind the wheel, less so for oncoming traffic, or is it meant to be like that in a typical "I drive a fking Audi so fk you" fashion?

Renault R-SoundEffect, and the other alternatives. Basically, fake engine noises through speakers in the car.

Pathetic.

ooh, there are some of my favourites already here:

bling/ jewelry approach to car design

flat bottomed steering wheels

those affected indicator/ DRL arrangements where the light dims to allow the indicator to be seen- file under bling/ jewelry

cars that prevent you opening the door and reversing carefully into place- you can drive, you can open the door but you can't do both simultaneously

in appropriately massive wheels. 20" on an Alpina 3 series- Alpina were all about not putting massive wheels on their cars, just nice large ones

touchscreens- jesus wept, what an awful idea in a car

excessive exhaust pipe counts and tail pipe "dressing". Audi S3 anyone? Even a current Audi RS6 has the dressing thing- two facking great ovals, with small round actual pipes cowering back inside them. A Porsche 911 used to get by on one exhaust pipe!

Basically all boils down to getting marketing out of the driving seat of car creation for me.

Someone got a chip on their shoulder? I guess the real question is, "Would you buy a German car?".
French cars, whose drivers won't even entertain looking at the lesser brands, blindly maintaining that their cars are superior.

I love a good solid debate in the morning biggrin

Lame stuff that is only for stupid girls like Facebook and Twitter being available in a fiesta. Nearly everything I see nowadays though, even things like parking assistance (whether you use it or not) is pretty amazing. I don't think there is such a thing as a "bad car" today. Just ones which don't appeal for one reason or other. Most cars used to absolutely suck.

Can I add stickers. PH ones included. I really don't like stickers;

'One life, live it'
'PH'
'Nurburgring'
'M25'
'dub'
'car club'

Totally gash.

Company cars yes fair point.

Minority? No way. Huge Majority.

There are plenty of other manufacturers other than Vauxhall and Ford that provide an alternative but are outsold massively.

Where did you get your 1 in 10 cars is a BMW or Audi? And if you add Vag and Merc cars? Just curious as to your source.

I have heard so many "my wife wants a Range Rover or anything German, She wont drive anything else" etc etc stories.
Of course nobody jumped on the bandwagon buying cheap Japanese rally reps, no, never smile

Did an Audi overtake you or something?

If there were diesel Japanese cars everywhere littering the roads everywhere not indicating and tailgatimg everyone then I would feel the same contempt but there aren't.

And yes diesel Vag cars have overtaken me plenty of times as I'm not racing on the roads.

I knew the fanbois wouldn't like it as there are just so many of you. 33% of the countries population of cars is hard to argue with.
Do you speak like this in real life?

Where do you race, I'm guessing mainly gravel stages? As for contempt, perhaps you could take the rose tinted specs off, obviously your car is totally standard and doesn't sound like a bison being raped? So many more reasons to dislike rally reps overall. Your post smacks of someone desperate to justify your own car rather than what you claim about others.
