I have no connection with this car, or the company but had I seen this car for sale a couple of years ago I would have seriously considered it.

A petrol Freelander 2. Land Rover wouldn't sell me one here in the UK. They declined to sell me a petrol Discovery Sport too.

I understand why they'd not sell many but we probably do 6k a year in our main car and Petrol would be a much better solution for me than Diesel.

But that's by the by.

If I had seen this car back then how good an idea would it be? The spec I want, it is about 10k cheaper than I paid for my Freelander.

Would being a petrol import destroy resale value? It's already cheap?

The JDM grey import scene doesn't seem as strong these days. Does it no longer make sense financially? I don't know where their car comes from but if it's not sold officially in the UK how does warranty, tax, MOT emissions and stuff work?

I really liked my Freelander 2. It was a 2013 model and full of toys.

Now if this was a RHD imported Disco Sport I'd be really interested.

No. I was just idly browsing Auto Trader and posted the link here. Are they an importer?

Thanks Sir B. That looks tempting. And cheap for the spec.
