Hi all,

This is a bit of a plead really, for anyone local (Nottingham) or willing to travel. To help me out with a surprise for my brother on the evening of Friday 8th July to get to his prom.

I was just taking him in my mundane Vectra, however on June 12th our step-father passed away, after much 'kerfuffling' with the family we have managed to secure a funeral date now unfortunately this is on the very same day as the prom.

I know with all that is going on that day my brother is going to be feeling down, so the idea is to surprise him with an amazing car to drop him at his prom.

If there is anybody on here willing to help me out or point me in the right direction this would be most appreciated.

Thank you in advanced.

Really appreciate all of the responses, supercharged mx5 sounds like real 'built not bought' weapon!

Loving the Evora in the only colour a Lotus should come in.

He is a bit of petrol head and knows his cars so will appreciate most of what has been put forwards.

The pickup would be from Bilborough around 18:00/18:30 to be dropped in Nottingham city near to the ice arena.

Funerals go on pretty late round your way, won't you be clear for 18.30?
Huh?! The funeral is earlier in the day, the prom doesn't start until 19:00ish.

I'm not guaranteeing that we can do it yet. Would have to check if swmbo is free and okay with it but I don't see a problem. We're in Newark so it's not major far to go.
These two cars sound and look like a potentially good option, at the moment I've taken up the offer of the Evora via PM, should this fall through I would more than appreciate your time and be in touch with you.

Obviously willing to cover fuel etc... With all of these options btw.
