MX5 insurance

evening. so I'm 20 years old, I've had my license 7 months and I'm trying to get insurance on my 1.8 litre mx5 2002. All i can find are daft quotes for like 5k. ANYONE have any ideas on how i can lower this. willing to pay about 2k or does anyone have an experience with such an issue

i tried adrian flux and the cheapest they could do was 5k i might have to speak to a mx5 club
