Hi guys how's it going?

As the title suggest I'm looking at these two cars.

The power doesn't bother me i.e 184ps (golf) vs 150ps(audi) as I'm coming from a vw polo 74ps 1.0 this is all about what use would prefer

With adding keyless entry, folding mirrors and other standard equipment that's on the gtd, the price is about 1k more expensive for the audi, after I BFG it and the tax is taken away smilesmilesmile

So personal preference really,

Thanks in advance you wonderful bunch

well if power wasn't a problem and the 1k didn't bother you, out of personal choice which one would you choose

Why do you want a diesel?
I want a diesel as from time to time I'll be traveling from Germany

Having had both, I've got the say the Golf, that engine with the 184bhp is just right for the car.
So you would say it was more fun to drive.

The only thing that was throwing me towards the Audi was the interior. Don't get me wrong the interior on my vw polo 64 is nice and the golf is just like it, but would use say the novelty would wear?

They sell petrol there too you know ;-). I think your yearly mileage is a better indicator. We have the 150tdi Bluemotion thingy in the Tiguan. It's horrid. Not my idea of fun but maybe in a lighter car it's better ?
The only petrol car I would get at the moment really, is the GTI, but I guess with tax free fuel out in Germany, it wouldn't be that bad, but it's once I get over to the uk that the problem would lie for price I mean,

You've lost me there I'm afraid with the tax free fuel. I was in Germany last week and at €1.30/litre price was the same as in the UK.
Arhhh sorry, I'm with the military, so along with tax free cars, we get tax free fuel whilst we are out in Germany
