Is there a car configuration you wish manufacturers would make. Below is mine and as far as I know there isn't anyone building it?

Small 2 seat coupe with front-mid engine and rear wheel drive weighing around 950kg.
Around 130bhp 1.6 16v twin cam high reving engine.
6 speed manual gearbox with LSD.
Double wishbone suspension front and rear.
16" alloy wheels.
No aircon or radio.
Electric windows and remote locking, nothing else.
Under £20k

Ignoring the budget (which frankly isn't realistic for something that specialist), this fits the OP's description reasonably well:

For me, I can't realistically see anything bettering my Elise without being an order of magnitude more expensive, which is why I've had it for nine years now and have no intention of replacing it. smile

I don't think the budget is unrealistic, Mazda almost makes that car. If they could build a proper fixed coupe version of the current MX5 that would be perfect. They even did a few for the mk1 and mk2 but in very limited number and only for Japan.
They could offer 2 different trim levels, one stripped out and back to basics for enthusiasts (a bit like the Ginetta G40R) and another more luxurious spec with all the toys and creature comforts. I really think it would sell and it would be much more practical than the soft top version because it could have a bigger boot. Toyota ALMOST got it right with the GT86, I just hope they build the SFR.
