Browsing through the classifieds filtering by price, mileage, performance, driven wheels, gearbox and body type and the RS5 and 435D X-drive both seemed to feature largely in the results.
Two very different cars obviously but made me think, what would be quicker between an RS5 and a remapped 435d. The RS5 peak power is a good bit higher at 440bhp vs estimated 370 for the BM, but of torque figures of estimated 730Nm vs 430 in favour of the BM (which is also 100kg lighter), would a 435d with just a remap be a match for the RS5 in the real world?

I keep changing my mind on a daily basis, the RS5 looks and sounds great but is thirsty and the 435d X-drive is nippy but not very exciting to look at or sit in (in my opinion), considering middle ground cars such as a remapped TT RS or A45 AMG as a happy medium but I know these won't be as comfy for my 50 mile round trip to work every day but I guess thats the price you pay for better handling. Also the fact that none of them will be as fast as my current B8 S4 is hard for me to swallow.

Yeah a stage 2 S5 is also a consideration but being on my second stage 2 S4 think I'd like a change.

C63 is nice but want to stick with 4wd.
