Bridgefoot Roundabout Warrington. Multiple access points and exits. Traffic light controlled. Some yellow boxes on the roundabout.

Question is, which takes precedence: priority for vehicles on the roundabout, or green traffic lights for vehicles entering the roundabout?

Here for example. As you come round the roundabout you meet a queue of cars so you can’t enter the yellow box. But you have no red traffic light. The lights for vehicles entering change to green and they come onto the roundabout and conflict occurs.

Which traffic has priority?

Traffic already on the roundabout.
The way I was taught, green only means go if safe to do so, you still have to give way to traffic to your right, even on green.
I agree, but it doesn't work like that in real life. Soon as the lights go green, everyone rushes onto the roundabout.

Hangar Lane only has one yellow box, and traffic on the 'roundabout' is controlled by traffic lights, so not the same scenario.
