having to pay to park in the park car park....

some the parks near me in south London/kent are charging . My local wants £2 . Absolutely criminal. Anyone else see this popping up where they live.

op here. Its the principal , I have paid my council tax , and the park in question is not a fancy county one where u go all day . This is my local scummy park , Swanley!
The car parks are very empty now and the cars now clutter the surrounding streets..

Hopefully the £2 charge will keep the scummy element away and make more room for ordinary decent people...

I am in the park everyday , as teaching my son to ride his bike . Sadly the large majority if the bods who use the park are "a bit council" as we say on here!!

Anything to discourage people to exercise is rotten.especially as alot of people have no garden - the park is their garden.

Perhaps they could walk TO the park...?

Agree. But with some of the hefties round my way , this would be a alot to ask! Also , one of the 2 entrances is on a narrow county lane with is not pedestrian friendly.
What next charging to actually use the park?!
