Used Focus RS price madness!

Just had a quick browse of the approved used Ford site and looked up the Focus RS. I was totally blown away to see the pricing of them. This for example:

Depending on options, could be £9k over the original list price. Seems extremely steep. Is there a shortage of new ones? I just specced one up on the Ford site with a bunch of options for £34k. Madness.

Well for me the surprise here is that you can order a new one for £5k less so supply and demand doesn't really justify it IMO.

The wait was something I was asking about in the original post to be fair...

A year is a hell of a lead time. I still wouldn't pay it personally.

Old Fast Ford syndrome! I love the look of them but the FWD thing always put me off. In a stable of cars then sure, but if it were my only performance car I couldn't live with it very long.

I always loved the look of the MK2 (I know, I know!) but I just couldn't spend that sort of money on a FWD hatchback.
