Lamborghini Huracan Superleggera Spyder... spied

This means the coupe has to be coming soon, right?

Yes, alright, we've been banging on about the Huracan Superleggera - at least, we think that's what it will be called - for a while now. But, as also mentioned numerous times, the prospect of a lighter and louder Huracan, perhaps even a rear-wheel drive one, is rather enticing.

Now there's additional interest in the form of Superleggera Spyder pictures, which will likely carry the Performante tag as seen on racier drop-top Gallardos. It's been caught winter testing with its coupe counterpart and, well, it deserves a closer look really.

Let's hope the wing stays. Even when camo'd up and even when on a wedgy Lamborghini, it looks heroically huge and entirely befitting of a (hopefully) track focused Huracan. Note too how the Spyder keeps the two-door Superleggera's higher exhaust pipes, which look suitably menacing. This car appears to have the standard Spyder's wheels, though the brakes seem to be a fraction bigger. Or perhaps that's wishful thinking Just tell us some more please Lambo!

The Spyder was spotted with the coupe, a prototype that must now be one of the most well travelled around. Or the most frequently photographed. New this time around are the wheels, which look suitably flamboyant even in the depths of winter, and perhaps there's another slat or vent in that aggressively chiselled front apron. A combination of the two will surely make it tricky to park your Superleggera around SW1...

However, there's cause to believe that this may not be simply another poser's Lamborghini. Of course it will be very good at that, but don't forget Stefano Domenicali is now CEO at Sant'Agata and has been for nearly a year. Could he be the man to make a lightweight Lamborghini that really delivers?

Its a relief to see this being tested in its natural habitat, doesnt even look out of place on a snow covered forestry track :-)
