Do you care what the neighbour's think?

Morning all,

I'm a bit of a serial car seller / buyer, no denying that.

Having just sold my e60 (£8k) to be replaced with a Mx5 (£2k) I was outside washing and tidying my new purchase. As is the way my neighbour's will often come out for a chat but his opening line this time was "business not doing well?!" And referencing the "downgrade".

Do people really judge like that and care what people / neighbour's think?
(Is start a poll thread but I don't know how!)

I suppose my response was what got me thinking about starting the thread.

I found myself justifying my reasoning but I don't actually care what he thinks.

Just to be clear and from the "friends with neighbour's" comments.
We're very good friends with our immediate neighbour's to our right, across the road and will often speak to many others in the road including Mr Judgemental, despite only being here less than a year.

The neighbour's to our left is a slightly different matter but that's another amusing story.
