Probably been asked thousands of times on here but why are Phaetons so cheap? Do they suffer with catastrophic failures costing thousands? Quick look on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302246365928
Just baffles me why you don't see them everywhere

Well the mileage has gone up so it's not been laid up. I would've said it's been registered over on Isle of Man or similar

Surely if you want to waft around sat at 80mph in huge comfort without anyone battering an eyelid at you it's perfect? As many have said it looks like a Passat, it just confuses me how much car can be had for that little money and there be no drawbacks
